Dr. McKinsey joined the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital Division of Vascular Surgery as the Site Chief for the Columbia University Medical Center Campus from the University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics. While at the University of Chicago, he served as the Vice-Chairman of the Department of Surgery and the Director of the Endovascular Surgery program.

Following his graduation from medical school at the University of Florida, he completed his general surgical residency training at the Georgia Baptist Medical Center. Dr McKinsey completed fellowship training in vascular surgery at the University of Chicago.

Dr McKinsey is the past President of the Chicagoland Endovascular Surgical Society, and has served on several national and local professional committees including the American College of Surgeons Committee on Education and the Association for Surgical Education Information and Technology Committee. In addition, he is a past Director of the University of Chicago Surgical Society Resident Education Section and was Co-director of the Vascular Surgery Fellowship Program while at the University of Chicago.

An expert in the field of endovascular methods for treating vascular disease, Dr McKinsey has developed and taught several endovascular training programs to teach other vascular surgeons to perform minimally invasive procedures for treating peripheral vascular disease. Dr McKinsey is experienced in the management of all types on non-cardiac vascular disease.
